Thirty-eight years on the mat

A fifth dan is not a grade you can rush. Behind that number stand thirty-eight years of regular practice — and above all years of passing on what he has learned.

Studying in Japan

He has studied jiu-jitsu directly in Japan, at the source. Not one visit, but repeated stays — and thanks to them the club in Zlín gets teaching that stays close to its Japanese roots instead of being derived second-hand.

What a class looks like

He leads one group on the mat, without splitting it by gender, age or skill, because a mixed group is what teaches consideration best. A beginner gets their own pace and nobody pushes them anywhere.
